The region of Berat is home to some 302,000 residents, accounting for 5 percent of Albania’s population. Its surface area is 1.798 km2 with a population density of some 80 residents/km2.


Because UNESCO World Heritage Site,the town Berat is one of the key contributors to the country’s tourism industry.


However, the county offers a lot more. Unknown but most interesting places like Skrapar, the green district of Albania, are waiting to be discovered.


The county is famous for his wine, raki and traditional food through the flavors and aromas typical of a predominantly agricultural area.
